The Challenge:
Like many businesses, Century 21 Results had on-premise servers they relied on for certain functions of their network and business. All good things come to an end and the servers were at the end of life and up for replacement. The average cost of a good server, plus the server licensing, is $8,000+ then you’ve got hardware warranty renewals from the manufacturer at $750+/year. With multiple servers, not only does it become a big upfront expense – it’s prone to hardware failure, power failure, and connectivity failure – causing aggravating and expense downtime. There was a much better solution.
The Solution:
As SaferWay does with all clients, we assessed their business operations and selected the best fit technology to meet business needs. While multiple options were presented (as we always do), the best and recommended solution was to migrate the servers to Microsoft Azure. SaferWay was able to quickly and securely setup their Microsoft Azure network and servers (following Microsoft best-practices) and connect their existing network to the Azure network and thoroughly migrate all their applications and data to the Microsoft Azure environment, allowing us to decommission the unpredictable on-premise server hardware.
